Friday Five ~ Me and The True Heart

Posted on Nov 6th, 2009 by Meenakshi : Flow Meenakshi
1) Do you talk to your own "heart" (conscience, inner voice, true self)?

We speak. On occasion when we're silent, we are in communion.

2) Name one thing that helps clear your mind and heart.

Breathing in ight, breathing out light

3) Pick three words that describe how you feel when in sync with your heart.

Joyful, knowing, clear

4) Do you think you have strong intuition?
(a simple yes or no is okay, or elaborate as you like ;)

Yes

5) Do you feel peaceful while cleanimg dishes like Santiago in the book, or annoyed or just wet?

Peaceful, inspired, expanded. And when Whiskers jumps up the ledge outside to look in, and taps at the window wonderingly, trying to grasp this concept of clear glass, we travere time and space to a civilization long ago, when we were together perhaps and he was sacred...or perhaps, I think, as his head follows the movements of my hands - he is learning how to wash dishes for his next lifetime,as a human!
Whiskers

Whiskers learning to wash dishes

No wonder I love washing dishes. It's so...grounding!!! LOL!!!!

Hello Meenkshi, You'll excuse me as I am not familiar with Santiago, but I have washed alot of dishes in my life too Meenkshi, first at home, then at the homes of the various people that permitted me to stay with them, then on to do them for rent and board.
Always thought of as the end of the line in the job work world, dish washer needed was to me a guaranteed way into any place the wind took me.
“Oh you are the new dish washer are you, well they are right over there they would say” pointing to a stack of dishes.
At which point I would smile and say “thanks” .I love doing dishes Meenkshi, no cats though, but getting my hands in the water, swishing around cleaning that mountain of dishes was like this strange spiritual climb for me.
I get would get lost in the moment of the noise that would surround me from the kitchen, the wait staff coming and going as the plates, pots, pans, cultry and glasses would come streaming in, everyone so busy with their own little part they didn't even see little old me, but there I was always being helpful to those who had to contend with the customers, but not letting them off with their reponsiblities any more than they would me.
But man the stuff people would throw away when others are starving it would make all our heads spin let me tell you, so ever once and a while we'd just help one another out of the blue, to deal with all the stress that builds up from having to wear smiles constantly, when we should be permitted to say how much it drains us every once and awhile.
So cheers Meenhski to the little dishwasher in us all, chipped plates and all.
Take Care

I would love to teach dish washing courses to cats! I think you have strong intuition too as you could tell you were teaching a future dish washer! What a cute couple of pictures…

Smiles!

lol!! Laughing at your comment Amber- and my thinking I could possibly be intuitive if I am seeing our dear free spirit, Whiskers, whose life is letting us know what he needs when he needs it, being intuited into a life of washing dishes!!! I'll have to intuit better….[I know that wasn't your thought, but it's mine as i read yours]  [so i intuit!] [isn't it fun to laugh at oneself?] [ so freeing] more freeing than those poor words i encapsulated in parentheses…

JustMe, how delightful to see you here! The  beauty of Gaia is, that we can visit at the dish-washing station rather than the formal living room, confide in each other if we don't use gloves [I don't!] and enjoy a quiet moment in the hustle and bustle of our day.

Thanks for visiting dear friends!

Hello there fellow/lady dish washer, ah yes there are no rooms in a house of so many doors, but a dwelling of ever expanding love, from the hands of you and yours.
For it has been my experience that though we may clang and bang these dishes of life, nicking and bruising our unprotected hands in the process of cleaning, we all come out a little brighter and ready to serve another meal.
Now as for cats, well it is to me a long heard calling, to live all of a dogs days and a cats nights.
Take Care
J.M.
