Churning of Primeval Oceans

Before the world began, the gods and demons fought for the nectar of priceless value.
It was amrit.
Churning the primeval ocean, they helped it to rise, and it and it was given to the gods by divine will.
As the ocean churns today, what are we seeking to uncover? What is the nectar that will emerge?

Help

According to mythology, Milky ocean was churned for 'Amrutha' but they got the 'HalaHala' Poison first. There is a huge imagery on the interior wall of the famous 'Ankorwat' temple. Lord Siva gulped the poison so as to save all the living beings.
Thanks Sanmugan–I love that story so much, of the sagar manthan ; and THANK YOU for the information abt the Angkor Wat temple having the image. Did you mean this one?
That image is built on the wall, which is a long one and colored. The 'Devas' on one side and the Azuras on the other side, churning wit the mountain 'Manthara'.
I got the Link.

CHURNING OF THE MILK OCEAN @ SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT, BANGKOK
When I was in Angkor Wat, there was an entire bas relief wall dedicated to this, The Churning of the Milk Bath or Milk Ocean. I knew it must be an important myth as most walls depicted many stories of Angkor but not this one, it was a full length bas relief on Lord Vishnu, which the Angkor Wat was built to honour.
