Joining in Peace Vigils

Misery loves company, they say. And as I am calling and contacting friends and relatives in Mumbai, I hear of those I know or whom they know, who have passed in the Mumbai terror attack.
It seems strange to go around our daily routine, and have people not even be aware that something like this has happened; or ask if we were affected.
Which is why I first blogged about this, here. I realize that at first, I had to take the space of the ones in pain. As others join in, sending light and healing and peace, it is possible for us as a community to be both in pain and expanded into peace. We balance each other.

Help

I couldn't agree more. How odd it can be to just do our run of the mill stuff when there are so many people in pain. Its good that we can at least send them our love and prayers and thoughts of peace.
I saw it on the NDTV, which was broadcasting every thing and even now they show the after effects too. I cried withe people who were affected were crying. It is not clear as to why these things are happening. Ordinary people never do anything like this to anyone. We can just pray .
thank you for this sharing
I pray hearts will take over where words fail
much love
Oh Meenakshi, I join in sending love and light to all those injured or killed or shattered in some way by that terrible tragedy. Blessings to all involved. As you said: As others join in, sending light and healing and peace, it is possible for us as a community to be both in pain and expanded into peace. We balance each other.
Thank you dear friends. I bow to the wonders of life that unfold even in the midst of terror. And seek that thread of wonder that weaves its way through everything.
