Unconditional love encompasses light and dark

Posted on Nov 11th, 2008 by Meenakshi : Connection Meenakshi
A long time ago, in a meditation group, someone asked around the group:
“Are you a lightworker?”

It was the first time I had heard the word. It was a word that brought to light a knowing within me, and I said–“YES!”  I had no idea what it meant; but I knew what it is. I had no idea what light workers do; but I knew I was there. In the darkness of days, that inner light had ever been with me. Many moths were drawn to it, and hurt me as much as they must have hurt themselves. It is the way with light.

Light and dark–they are one in unconditional love. I see the symbol of yin-yang, with a thin boundary of pink; the dark in the light, and light in dark. The ebbs and flows of our energy; the not-knowing transmuted to knowing and going back to just being.

The potency of the dark womb of the universe that is the mother to our earth and other planets; as each of us in human life, have emerged from the nourishing dark womb of mother, and each seed sprouts in darkness towards light.

The compassionate heart of the One encompasses it all.

The milky way galaxy of light in the blackness of space; child from mother; the light manifest from the light hidden:

Milky way in space

The unconditional love that infuses this, is in our experience and hearts; it is in our eyes as we look at the symbol. It has no quality other than that.

To be rid of fear, of others have power above oneself, who come from a place that is wrong or bad or evil, I had to ask myself: where does that darkness come from? And where does THAT come from? And THAT? And THAT?

I found that evil is live spelled backward–it is the opposite of live. That darkness comes from my own inner eye not being awakened. From seeing only one side of a situation–blindness of the proverbial elephant is removed if we can circle the situation, and see the elephant from every angle.

Taking that inner light and all outer lights that are available to us: of knowledge, wisdom, teachings of ascended beings, faith, right action,  right thinking, right feeling, satsang–the company of those whose energy raises our own even if their ideas are different, gaining control of all urges of thought, word and deed that are not for the highest good of all concerned.

This is what the lightworker does, from my experience–to expand the heart till we TOGETHER reach the source where darkness and light come from.

Meenakshi,

At the moment, it appears that my comment will be placed smack in the middle of your blog.  That is the evidence of my eyes as I see this box between the oval darkness with light at the center and the yin-yang symbol that is often used to indicate the concept of wholeness within the Tao.  I can only hope it actually ends up at the bottom of this blog, under the other comments, as should be expected.  LOL the universe has fun with Gaian minds today.

I do not know if I am a light worker.  I am certainly called upon to do various kinds of “work” that do not seem to be directly for my personal benefit, and which I would just as soon ignore, except that the call for it comes from the All That Is and I can no more say “No” to IT, than stop breathing and continue to live in this world.

Yet, I understand clearly your analogy of moth to flame -

>>>”Many moths were drawn to it, and hurt me as much as they must have hurt themselves. It is the way with light.“<<<

Yes, I have felt the pain of being the light for others to hurt themselves and me as well in the process.  We are resilient, are we not?  Thank all goodness for that.  All of your bits of knowing are acknowledged and recognized in my heart and mind for the truths that they hold.

Oh, fear, that restricter and limiter and enemy of us all.  Yes, to be rid of that is to learn to live in trust of all that is good.  In my mind however, there is no place of wrong or bad or evil but only misunderstandings, misconceptions and mistaken beliefs to be exposed, for what they are and seen in the light of a new day, that needs not these to fulfill itself.

I love the yin-yang idea of evil being opposite or the backwards spelling of live.  A wonderful way to turn it around in one's mind.  Do I think I see evil?, how can I turn that around, to allow the goodness to live?  By surrendering to the reality of whatever IS at any given moment, often we find that there is no wrong or evil but that our thinking makes it so.  Still, I recognize that we often feel a desire to “perfect” what IS to make it more comfortable for ourself, and for others affected.

And there's that funny little Elephant again.  I keep running into that guy all over Gaia.  We do love our wildlife here at Gaia, do we not?  Of course, being wild, they have no idea that we intend them no harm and run the other way or stand to fight against all of our good wishes for their continued peaceful existence.

Keeping ONLY in mind the highest good for all concerned, we can do no wrong or harm to any other.

Ah, I see what you meant, Deborah–very interesting indeed; to be so poised between the milky way galaxy showing through darkness and the Tao lighting it all!! Some divine player is at work here!

The elephant and the blind men is the story I'm referring to. In case you'd like my take on it. and have the time, it's on my older geocities website.

Michele, I bow to your gracious presence. And Soul, to yours.
