Love is the ultimate destination, being the ultimate source

A few years ago, I wondered about light suggesting duality- if we are lightworkers, do we eschew dark? If we are attuned to light, are we against the dark? If so, how do we transcend duality? As healers, we are seeking unity, wholeness, connection; not moving away from, but embracing.
The journey from these questions led to wonderful journeys, meetings, experiences.
Then came the new moon meditations; where we took sacred light into the darkness, in a sacred circle. We found incredible potential. Alchemy happened, as dark was lit up.
The yin-yang is incredibly powerful - a mystic symbol of the levels of relationship between light and dark...I had begun to write about a journey from dark into light that spiritual seekers take. But it did not seem to be the whole story.
This solstice, remarkable insights occured during meditation. I suddenly realized what holds the yin-yang together : it is love. Love borders it, and suffuses it. Being purest energy, it is not seen in the light-dark. The path towards it, is from dark to light to love; and also from light to dark to love.
Yet, within the light, is the tiny spot of dark; and the light spot in the dark mirrors it. This is a portal, a wormhole to the light spot in the darkness. That is how consciousness travels- from darkness to light and out into love; or from light, through into dark and out into love, unity, ascension.
Love is the ultimate destination, being the ultimate source.

With out the darkness, how would we know what the light was?
How indeed!
Barb is absolutely right. Contrast emanates reality. Without illusion reality does not exist. Yet it is to remember the fundamental that pure darkness, as pure hate, does not exist. The levels of darkness are levels of illusion, yet Light in itself, representing the sight of Love, is contantly, eternally, pure.
Totally in agreement with you Meenakshi, I would say love is both the route and the destination, ( love with compassion ) Also wondering why we equate darkness with bad things, maybe it is just our fear of darkness, have you ever stood in the quiet and dark night and felt enveloped by love?
” I suddenly realized what holds the yin-yang together : it is love.” - thanks for the post :-) - I have been thinking so much about this - everyday one gets a bit closer …. South Africa is a country of contrasts - me coming from Hungary - even after being here for 10 years - I feel that one feels more aware - more alert - noticing opposites, differences much easier - and once you are aware all the opposites - you also get closer to noticing how they can melt away….
Light, re-reading what you wrote, I see so much the truth of what you wrote. “The levels of darkness are levels of illusion, yet Light in itself, representing the sight of Love, is contantly, eternally, pure.”
Zephyr: When I first read what you wrote, I thought…yes; and no- yes, I also see that fear helps us equate things we don't know with dark, bad and so on. And no- I don't remember being enveloped by love in the darkness. Now I realize that often when I meditate, it is partially dark; if not totally so; and as I begin to focus on the higher self, and specially when expanding the heart; light begins to come, and love. Still not the experience you describe, though.
Szavanna, ”and once you are aware all the opposites - you also get closer to noticing how they can melt away…” I would love to hear about an incident when this happened.
Opposites melting away - I will definitely post a story - just have to think - I think it's a good topic to write about - for everyone here at Zaadz. have a great day day :-)
Light and darkness are sisters; when one enters the light they feel comfort, peace and a willingness to accept the challenge ahead…. When one enters darkness, they too feel comfort ,peace and a need to rest. They both are good and at times will fight for our attention. Only true spiritual guidance will keep them as friends, and guide you as to when we should enter the light or rest in peace. (Grey Wolf) 1838
Timbo, thank you for that quote. It gives such a peaceful perspective.
